Licensed Practical Nurse Resident - Acute Care Telemetry

Join our Nurse Residency Program and enhance your nursing skills while providing essential care to patients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse Resident, you will participate in professional development workshops, engage in peer support groups, and work under the supervision of experienced Clinical Educators and Registered Nurses.

Job Summary

In this role, you will actively manage clinical situations under the guidance of a licensed Registered Nurse, ensuring you meet all requirements of the Nurse Residency Program. You will adhere to organizational policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of care and patient confidentiality.

Essential Functions

Gather and document patient information, identifying needs and communicating effectively with RNs.

Participate in interdisciplinary care teams, contributing to individualized plans of care.

Deliver quality patient care based on accepted standards and best practices.

Document care provided and observations accurately, reporting issues or changes to the RN.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the unit.

Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory / Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management position, reporting to a supervisor or manager.

Minimum Requirements

Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing.

Less than twelve (12) months of LPN experience is required.

In Lieu Of

Equivalency programs recognized by the State Board of Nursing may also be accepted.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

A current LPN compact / multistate license recognized by the NCSBN or licensure in the state of practice.

If you obtain RN licensure, you may continue in this role until placed in an RN position.
