Logistics Export Coordinator

Job Purpose : To process and coordinate daily logistics export activities. Implement production, productivity, quality, and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time constraints.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Obtain a booking with the Airline and consign the MAWB as instructed by the Branch office / Client to be sent confirm that the shipment is OK to send to final destination and obtain approval
  • Define the best possible route to dispatch the shipment to its final destination.
  • Ensure shipment is booked and all route legs are complete with all needed operational details and cost estimates entered in Maestro
  • Responsible for reviewing appropriate documentation, labeling and markings as included with each shipment
  • Check Export paperwork to make sure they are accurate / complete, If NO SLI received follow up prior to close of shift enable process timely
  • Responsible for replenishing with proper weight of dry ice on those shipments that require dry ice, as well as those that require Gel packs for temperature chain of custody. Condition shipments as required and update the proper milestones in Maestro
  • Confirm pieces, weights and dimensions after each collection and enter them in Maestro
  • Responsible for scanning, packaging, labeling In-bound shipments before tendering for final destination, either domestic or international shipping. Verification of shipments once processed (2 Step - verification Process)
  • Post flight all departure to make sure shipments left on booked flight
  • Attend to any Domestic / International "internal" quote requests
  • To send pre-alerts to Marken office or agents concerned & Enter PODs in Maestro
  • Gemba's to be completed daily
  • KSMS to be completed every Monday
  • Tackle CASS reports ensure while finalizing the MAWB the rates are in alignment as per the agreement If NOT push back to the airline and ensure shipment is rated correctly prior to shipment movement
  • Pick up the phone before the 3rd ring
  • FDA shipments to be plugged on the board (joint effort / Export+ Transport).
  • Responsible for performing other duties as required helping the Operations Team complete daily tasks.
  • Any late pick up or miss flights must be brought to the Supervisor attention & Email CS Team of the irregularity.

Qualification Requirements :

  • High School completion or equivalent.
  • 2 years of Air freight / Freight forwarding experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Air Export regulations & AES filing
  • Cargo wise / DG experience desirable.
  • Experience with Imports recovery & Domestic transfers
  • Ability to multitask, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers and software (ex. Microsoft Office Suite).
