DSPD Caseworker Specialist II - MySteps Project
The Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD), within the Department of Health & Human Services, is looking for a dedicated professional to fill our Caseworker Specialist II position. As a Caseworker Specialist II in this role you will be primarily working on a project to assist with connecting individuals, guardians, and advocates to consumer files in MySteps.

Responsibilities
Example of Duties :
Review documentation to ensure it's completed accurately and thoroughly.
Verify supplemental required documentation is included when required.
Review court orders to determine if they are court-ordered guardianship documents and classify appropriately.
Navigate computer systems that requires good attention to detail and ability to follow multiple step processes.
Support and sustain DSPD goals, plans and objectives.
Assist with intake and waiting list duties as needed which may include tasks such as reviewing eligibility documentation and / or completed Needs Assessment Questionnaires, answering the intake phone line and following up on inactive cases.
Demonstrate leadership.

Has experience supporting individuals with disabilities to lead self-determined lives.
Has experience in Person-Centered thinking and processes.
Has knowledge of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).
Understands Division services.
Has strong interpersonal skills.
Has a strong understanding of cultural competence.
Has the ability to work well independently.
Is an excellent listener who is also proactive.
Has the ability to work well with a wide range of people with varying interests.

The typical office setting for this job is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. However, you may encounter some risks that are associated with any office setting, for example, the safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
