Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support in the delivery of patient care services under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN). The CNA assists with daily patient care activities, monitors vital signs, and ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to established standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- A ssist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, height, weight, and blood glucose levels as directed.
- Report changes in patient condition promptly to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
- Support nursing staff with patient care procedures and treatments within scope of practice.
- Ensure proper documentation of care provided in accordance with facility policies.
- Demonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state..Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, positioning, and transferring patients safely.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Previous experience working in an acute care or long-term care facility.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR / EMR) systems.Certifications (if any)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – required (American Heart Association only).Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – active state license required.Note - This is for per diem, candidate must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer
