Job descriptionWrite design specifications and test procedures Design electrical sub-systems which include wire harnesses, timers, switches, motors, pumps, valves, contactors, and transformers Utilize CAD software to generate electrical systems, harness designs and related schematics Set-up, run and document tests on electronic components and sub-systems Work with suppliers and in-house personnel on development of sub-systems and components Understand and incorporate marketing specifications and regulatory agency requirements (UL, IEC) into sub-system designs Work with manufacturing as needed to support production parts or support pilot builds Use SAP enterprise resource planning software to locate information on usage of production parts and create markups for BOM changes Write ECN's (Engineering Change Notifications) to release new parts and drawing revisions for prototype or production Associates Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred Three to five years of electrical / electronics design experience preferred Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus Hands on contributor with strong written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated and excellent decision-making skills. Experience using AutoCAD and Windchill. Good working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to articulate technical information and provide comprehensive recommendations Ability to manage projects and work in a project team environment Strong attention to detail and a focus on business priorities Work under minimal direction and guided by project objectives Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting. \n Dedicated : Follows through on commitments.
