Enterprise Technical Account Manager (MSP)
Job Overview
GDI Infotech is partnering with a client looking for an Enterprise Technical Account Manager (MSP) to join their team. This senior-level position involves providing high-level technical support and strategic guidance to enterprise-level managed services clients in a 24 / 7 / 365 environment. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while requiring occasional onsite visits to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of client project needs across the entire lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and success.
- Act as the senior technical authority, guiding internal teams and providing mentorship to direct reports, ensuring smooth client onboarding, daily management, and project execution.
- Take full responsibility for managing client infrastructure and IT strategy, troubleshooting complex technical issues across systems such as networking, servers, and virtualized platforms.
- Conduct proactive assessments of client business needs, translating these into tailored technical solutions that support their overall goals.
- Provide high-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex incidents, leveraging deep expertise in technologies such as Windows Server, VMware, Azure, and Office365.
- Oversee the maintenance of client systems, ensuring that infrastructure and server management align with the client's long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate with the help desk and engineering teams to ensure prompt issue resolution, taking ownership of escalated problems when necessary.
- Periodically travel to client sites to provide on-the-ground support, conduct regular service reviews, or address any client concerns.
- Manage and ensure timely billing for client services, including maintaining documentation for all relevant infrastructure changes, service updates, and client interactions.
Qualifications
10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a senior technical management role (such as Technical Account Manager, Senior IT Manager, or IT Director).7+ years of hands-on system administration, with expertise in server maintenance, networking, backups, and virtualization technologies.Strong proficiency with the Microsoft stack (including Azure, Office365, Active Directory, Exchange) and other platforms like VMware, AWS, and Google Cloud.Extensive experience troubleshooting and managing systems in a high-availability, enterprise-level environment.Proven ability to provide both strategic guidance and day-to-day operational support to both internal teams and clients.Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to explain complex technical issues to stakeholders at all levels.Experience mentoring and coaching technical staff, fostering a high-performing, customer-centric team culture.Technical Skills
Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, Office365).Advanced knowledge of VMware, AWS, Google Cloud, and other virtualization technologies.Hands-on experience with complex troubleshooting, including desktop and server OS, and infrastructure management.Proficiency in network configuration, security, and troubleshooting in a LAN / WAN environment.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (PCI, NIST, HIPAA) and security best practices.Why This Client
