- Direct and coordinate nursing care, supervising both licensed and unlicensed personnel to achieve the best patient outcomes.\n
- Foster collaboration among patients, families, and healthcare team members for effective care planning and discharge processes.\n
- Communicate vital information and coordinate care plans with other members of the healthcare team.\n
- Contribute to defining and upholding standards of excellence in patient care, participating in service improvements.\n
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and quality enhancement projects.\n
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff.\n
- Serve as a resource for hospital and department policies for nursing staff and healthcare team members.\n
- Participate in ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.\n
- Provide input to management regarding unit needs and participate in relevant committees.\n
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to ensure quality care delivery.\n\nQualifications : \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.\n
- A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience required.\n
- A valid RN license from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state is essential.\n
- A BSN is preferred.\n
- AHA BLS Provider CPR certification is required upon hire.\n
- AHA ACLS Provider certification must be obtained within 90 days.\n
