Senior Product Manager

Overview

A client of TEKsystems is looking for a Product Manager to support Marketing Technology work. It could be focused on cost data mart, SEO, planning automation, etc. They're not picky about the industry that these PMs come from; they need people who understand how to write a problem statement, define user problems, create metrics, break an idea down, and work with the necessary teams to execute. These people will be in the weeds executing with the engineering teams — breaking down requirements into user stories, prioritizing a backlog, and managing a roadmap. The expectation is that these Product Owners keep the big picture or North Star in mind, ideate and collaborate, and don't just take orders. This is a highly collaborative team that aims to better service the customer, as long as there is data to back it up.

Responsibilities

• Break down requirements into user stories and prioritize a backlog.
• Manage a product roadmap with attention to the North Star while delivering incremental value.
• Write problem statements and define user problems.
• Define metrics and use data to back decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to execute initiatives.
• Ideate and contribute actively rather than solely taking directions.
