American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cardiac catheterization and interventional experience for a day shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with adult patient populationProcedures include cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP and Impella insertion, PCI, PTCA, right and left heart catheterizations, and temporary pacemaker insertionPerform vascular diagnostic and interventional studies, including angioplasty and upper / lower extremity angiographyPreferred procedures include electrophysiology studies, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and device insertionUtilizes fluoroscopy and PACS systems, with preference for Siemens equipment experienceEPIC EMR is used; experience is required4x10 hour day shifts, 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with weekend and variable on-call requirementsFloat to sister facilities as needed within corporate systemResponsibilities include accurate procedure monitoring, maintaining sterile field, and equipment setupScrubs are providedMust adhere to isolation precautions and be familiar with rapid response team protocolsNo more than 7 days of desired time off allowed per 13-week contract and no time off permitted during the first week of orientationPermanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelersTravelers may stay up to 18 months with a 3-month break thereafter; allied travelers up to 12 months with a 6-month breakFree parking is available on site\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab or radiologic technologist experienceCurrent ACLS, BLS, and ARRT certifications requiredExperience in cardiac catheterization, PCI, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures requiredEPIC charting experience requiredAbility to perform accurate monitoring, equipment setup, access site preparation, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmiasMust reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facilityFirst-time travelers are acceptedValid MO state license or pending IL license required at the time of consideration (license required if applicable)\n Benefits\n
