Job description

DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, will perform a full range of duties in the Moores Cancer Center and the Outpatient Pavilion pharmacy setting. Assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications (including antineoplastics / chemotherapy) for patient use for IV sterile compounding preparation & administration in accordance to established procedures under USP

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Pharmacy Technician (PT3).

Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

A minimum of two-five (2-5) years of relevant experience is required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacy terminology and calculations.

Proficient computer experience and accurate data entry skills.

Strong detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.

Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.

Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment and function effectively in a high-volume, multiple demand environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two - five (2 - 5) years of previous IV and Chemo experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

    Annual Full Pay Range : $89,972 - $89,972 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

    Hourly Equivalent : $43.09 - $43.09
