Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Lab Technician to support engineering teams through electrical and mechanical testing. This position plays a vital role in product development, sustainment, and certification activities. You will set up and conduct tests following industry standards (UL, CSA, IEC, NEMA), document results, and assist with lab operations, equipment maintenance, and 5S / EHS compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical testing on distribution products per UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards
Record accurate test data and deliver reports to project engineers
Assemble products and custom test setups
Maintain and repair test fixtures and track available lab resources
Support lab organization and enforce 5S principles
Assist with lab safety requirements and emergency response protocols
Conduct calibrations, dielectric, thermal, circuit configuration, and vibration testing
Prioritize and multitask to support multiple concurrent test requests
Share expertise with fellow technicians to improve lab capabilities
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Lab Manager
Required Experience
Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Technology
1–3 years of relevant technical experience in lab or testing environments
Strong aptitude in electronics, mechanics, electro-mechanics, and basic software use
Preferred Experience
Experience using computers for test documentation and analysis
Familiarity with industry testing procedures and safety protocols
