Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract First time travellers / contract workers accepted as well MS / Tele 3rd Med Surg - (3x12s PM 1900-0730) Years of Experience : 2 Years Float Required : 2 other Med Surg Units Weekend Coverage : Every 2nd to 3rd Preferred Previous Charge Experience Medication System : Pyxis Communication System : SBAR Special Procedure / Unit Details : 3 Medical is a Medical unit consisting of 10 private room beds and 1 observation bed. The unit is equipped to provide telemetry monitoring to 4 patients with stable dysrhythmias. Typical patient populations on the unit are patients with a variety of chronic and acute medical conditions like CA, diabetes, renal disease, COPD, pneumonia and cellulitis. The population of surgical patient includes those who have had orthopedic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and general surgical procedures. Major neurosurgical and cardiovascular surgical procedures are excluded. The population includes adult and geriatric patients and excludes pediatric patients.
