We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Manager to join our vibrant Manufacturing team. This position is an integral part of the department, playing a pivotal role in the financial planning and decision-making process of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses of our raw materials, inventory, operations, cycle count, finished goods, and work-in-progress.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and partnerships amongst internal teams, such as engineering. Proficiency in MAPICS is preferred but not required. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with an innovative team, where your work will have a direct impact on the company's financial health and success.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department, including raw materials, inventory, cycle count, finished goods, and work-in-progress.
• Conducting routine and ad hoc inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing and analyzing cost reports and correlating them with the company's financial plan.
• Developing and maintaining the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
• Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory and fixed assets.
• Analyzing and recommending costs and cost savings.
• Preparing detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts.
• Reviewing and analyzing inventory and margin reports, conducting research, and performing analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
• Supporting and assisting internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others.
• Ensuring timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.
