A day in the life
Imagine your shift begins as the first inbound truck rolls up to the dock. You position pallets, safely unload, and immediately verify the bill of lading and packing list before unpacking materials. If something doesn’t match, you connect with Purchasing and other departments to resolve discrepancies. You inspect each delivery, apply damage identification when needed, and record receipts on the correct purchase orders—making sure copies reach the right people and the ERP is updated within 24 hours.
As the day continues, you’ll pull parts from storage, stage materials, verify outbound orders, and package shipments so they arrive undamaged. You file and archive documents accurately, follow warehouse processes, keep your areas orderly, and deliver exemplary service to internal and external customers. When required, you operate a forklift to transport goods around the facility—all while abiding by all Flowserve safety requirements and communicating clearly in the "language of logistics."
