At Dexter’s Fremont, IN plant, you’ll be the catalyst who ensures that outcome by steering our quality system for axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, and towing components serving RV, commercial trailer, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets.

How you’ll lead
- Anticipate and mitigate quality risks by advising on process and design provisions.
- Develop, implement, and control mandatory quality documentation.
- Schedule and perform process audits; verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Own root-cause and corrective action processes—drive timely and durable fixes.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to eliminate internal defects and embed standards.
- Stack-rank and execute improvement priorities that move key metrics.
- Promote and deliver quality training; reinforce policies that sustain results.
- Govern the quality management system’s documentation and reporting.
- Set clear performance goals for quality; monitor and communicate outcomes.
- Capture customer sentiment through surveys; translate it into action.
- Apply statistics and data analysis to control and improve processes.
- Perform gage calibration and product testing; keep meticulous records.
- Engage in internal / external audits to benchmark and advance performance.
- Model mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building.
- Deliver product conformance reports that inform decision-makers.
- Other duties as assigned.
What it takes
Bachelor’s in engineering technology or closely related discipline.5–7 years in manufacturing quality within high-volume metal fabrication (forming, cutting, welding); automotive / transportation exposure preferred.Proficiency in audits, RCCA, SPC, MSA / gage calibration, and testing methods.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
