Position Summary :

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Ft. Pierce, FL.

The Maintenance Mechanic position will support the maintenance and repair needs for the HBOI campus. The HBOI campus is recognized for its world class research with a focus on marine environments.

Minimum Qualifications :

High school diploma and four years appropriate experience required. Vocational / technical training may substitute for experience.

Able to lift up to 50 pounds required.

Able to work outside, in extreme heat, in covered areas or outside with no protection from the elements required.

Valid Florida driver's license or the ability to obtain within two weeks from date of hire required.

Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and vendors required.

Salary :

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

HBOI : Aquaculture Facilities

Location : Harbor Branch (HBOI)

Work Days and Hours :

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Must be available for on-call and weekend rotation.
