Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.\nNursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.\nImplementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations and policy.\nEvaluation and Discharge - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.\nTakes responsibility for continued professional growth and development.\nChemotherapy Infusion Specific\nMaintains professional working relationship with physicians to facilitate excellent patient care.\nAssists in the maintenance of logs (patient / medication fridge, crash cart).\nQualifications : Education\nDiploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.\nMust take and pass ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy course for chemo certification within 30 days.\nExperience\nPrevious experience in acute care setting including IV insertion and infusion required.\nPrevious chemo therapy experience preferred.\n(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).Licensure / Certification / Registration / Professional Designation ETC\nCurrent Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.\nBasic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.\nCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.\nComplete basic chemotherapy certification within 30 days of hire and maintains through employment.\nCompletes and maintains advanced chemotherapy certification within 3 months of hire.
