About the Opportunity :
We’re looking for a dedicated A&P Technician to join our team in Kinston, NC, as an AOG Hangar Technician. In this fast-paced role, you’ll help get aircraft back in service during unexpected disruptions, tackling mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. You’ll travel about 25% of the time to support off-site AOG events. If you want a hands-on role where your technical skills make an immediate impact, we’d love to have you.
Responsibilities :
- Respond quickly to AOG situations with on-site troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform inspections, repairs, replacements, and maintenance per FAA and company standards.
- Use strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex aircraft system issues.
- Document all work in logs, work orders, and electronic systems.
- Partner with flight crews and maintenance teams to prioritize AOG events.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow FOD prevention practices.
- Support parts inventory and tool tracking for rapid response.
- Participate in safety audits, reporting, and improvement initiatives.
- Stay current on FAA regulations; travel up to 25% for AOG support.
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent.FAA A&P License.8+ years of AOG aircraft maintenance experience.Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Understanding of jet / turboprop systems, avionics, and engines.Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules.Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in hangar environments.Familiarity with FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to pass a background check.Safety-Sensitive role requiring FAA drug and alcohol testing.Benefits :
