Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Production Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC.

Accountabilities
- Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitors workflow.
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Plan and manage direct material flow to achieve production schedules.
- Maintain a professional, effective and efficient work force through the development of staff.
- Develop, enforce and maintain workforce procedures, processes and measurements that contribute to the quality of Hitachi Rail productions.
- Enforce and maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Identify, advise and administer applicable training necessary for resources to develop and improve necessary work skills.
- Foster employee involvement in achieving quality improvements, provide regular feedback and active support in pursuit of quality objectives.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Work independently, prioritize work schedules and ability to manage a variety of activities in varying degrees of complexity and stages of completion.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Knowledge :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical wiringExperience with SAP requiredProficiency with MS Office ApplicationsDemonstrated leadership skillsGood knowledge of manufacturing method, tools and processPositive track record supporting manufacturing safety culturePossess strong collaboration skills and positive peer interactionStrong communication skills, verbal and writtenAbility to work effectively on cross-functional teams and interface with all internal and external stakeholdersPreferred Skills and Knowledge :
5 years or more of Hitachi Rail manufacturing experience. House and Case Wiring and / or Wayside Electronics experience preferred.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Education :
Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical discipline or work experience equivalent in lieu of educationBenefits :
