Job descriptionWork to repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning. Handles any electrical routines such as replacing light bulbs, batteries on smoke alarms, and ballasts when necessary. Perform plumbing duties, including unclogging sinks, toilets, repairs faucets, etc. Assists with snow and ice removal as needed. Maintain an atmosphere which allows privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents, staff, and visitors in a safe and secure environment. Respond to off-hours critical calls to resolve facility issues. Minimum of five years’ experience in facility maintenance work with an emphasis in a healthcare environment. Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds, push, pull, and move residents, equipment, supplies, etc., up to 200 pounds. Flexible work hours in order to work beyond normal work hours, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather, when necessary.
