Neighborhood Inspections Supervisor

Distinguishing Features of the Class

Supervises and directs staff involved in the enforcement of the Citys housing environmental health vector control noise odor graffiti zoning and public nuisance ordinances and other assigned regulations.

Acceptable Experience and Training

• Graduation from an accredited high school (or GED); and
• Three years of experience in housing zoning or environmental health code enforcement for the City of Des Moines or other similar city.
• One year of additional education may be substituted for up to one year of required experience.
