Merchandise Assistant

Location : Framingham, MA (onsite Tuesday and Wednesday)

Duration : 8 Months

Pay : $23 / hr

The Planet Group's client in the Retail space is looking for a Merchandise Assistant! This is a hybrid onsite 8-month contract opportunity! This role requires being onsite in Framingham on Tuesdays and Wednesday.

Merchandise Assistant Responsibilities :

• Assist and support buyers on administrative and clerical functions and work with vendors
• Prepares, writes and reviews purchase orders and follow up on allocations and late vendor shipments. Tracks all PO's generated to ensure for accuracy and that final PO has been received
• Interfaces with all levels of management and communicates with multiple internal and external contacts on a routine basis.
• Leads Day-to-day communication with vendors
• Coordinates all travel arrangements for assigned merchants and sets up vendor and agent visits in the home office.
• Creates and maintains spreadsheets to monitor weekly spend for merchants as necessary.
