Job description

Role Overview

Step into a hands-on leadership role on our production floor, orchestrating 5–8 pieces of equipment while bringing orders to life with accuracy and speed. You’ll move from staging to batching to startup, partnering closely with a batcher, and you’ll be the go-to floor resource for team questions in the supervisor’s absence. Safety, quality, and teamwork guide your day.

A Day in the Life

  • Machine Operation & Order Fulfillment (55%) — Review each order, pull the right materials with an RF gun, and weigh components according to formula. Set up and start production equipment, load bags, input data into the batch preparation system, and coordinate with the batcher on timing and sequence. Always follow safety protocols.
  • Housekeeping (10%) — Keep your area audit-ready : sweep, vacuum, remove packing debris, and clean equipment.
  • Staging & Shift Handoff (5%) — Stage the next run so the incoming team can hit the ground running with minimal downtime.
  • Quality Control (10%) — Verify materials are within date and formulas are correct. Pull samples for QC; adjust batches per results. Validate final product meets specifications.
  • Equipment & Materials (10%) — Communicate equipment needs, shortages, failures, required repairs, and forklift inspection results to Leadership and Maintenance.
  • Leadership, Mentorship & Training (10%) — Train new hires on equipment and work areas. Help balance workloads and provide direction when the supervisor is away. Serve as first-line escalation for questions.

What You Bring

  • Comfort with shop math to calculate weights and follow formulas.
  • Ability to read and interpret order details and written instructions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with 5–8 pieces of plant equipment or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of plant / manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Demands

  • Must pass pre-employment physical.
  • Lift / carry at least 60 lbs.
  • Push / pull 55 lbs.
  • Stand 80–85% of the day; sit ~5%.
  • Twist / bend ~20% of the day.
  • Squat, climb, and / or crawl ~10% of the day.
