The Precision Control Actuation System department is seeking a Sr. mechanical design engineer to join the PCAS organization to support the development, build, and verification of specialty control actuation systems (CAS), where the individual will specifically be responsible for design testing and verification, including hands-on test functions. This role supports an integrated product team and therefore requires cross-functional and cross-discipline collaboration.

What You Will Do

• You will provide various mechanical engineering functions for a specialty CAS, including integration and testing of the CAS performance and functionality.
• Based on skillsets, support may include but not limited to detailed mechanical design, earned value management, test design and execution, and systems engineering.
• You will be expected to flex responsibilities based on the current needs of the organization and their respective skill sets.
• At this grade level, you will be expected to work autonomously with limited oversight, have advanced knowledge of the control mechanism development domain, and coach and review the work of lower level professionals

‒ Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
