Senior Commvault Data Protection Engineer

Senior Commvault Engineer (with Druva Experience) Location : Remote Employment Type : Full-Time Clearance Required : None Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Commvault Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise data protection and recovery solutions, specifically Commvault and Druva. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing robust backup and disaster recovery environments across hybrid and cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize enterprise backup strategies for scalability, performance, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and administer Commvault backup & recovery solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Implement and support Druva cloud-based data protection for SaaS applications, endpoints, and cloud workloads.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery (DR) strategies, ensuring alignment with business continuity objectives.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backup and recovery issues to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Optimize performance and capacity of backup infrastructure, ensuring efficient use of storage and network resources.
• Automate routine processes and reporting for backup jobs, recovery operations, and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to integrate data protection solutions into enterprise systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, processes, and configurations. Qualifications
• 5-8+ years of experience in enterprise backup and recovery engineering roles.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on administration of Commvault.
• Strong experience with Druva for cloud-based data protection.
• Proven background in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with scripting / automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar) a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. What We Offer
