Job Summary
- The snow truck driver is responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate a variety of snow removal equipment, including pow and box trucks, ATVs with plows, snow blowers, shovels, and e-pokes (salt spreaders), to ensure safe and efficient clearing of the designated areas.Work with sidewalk crews to complete snow removal assignments safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Education and Experience
3 years of commercial experience using a plow truck or salt truck.3+ years of commercial snow experience using skid-steer, front end loader, backhoe, or equivalent vehicles with plows and snow containment boxes.18 years of age or older.A valid and clean driver's license with no restrictions (CDL is not required).Work well under pressure while observing safety guidelines.Have a smart phone (to download and use our attendance tracker app).Dependable transportation.Attendance at and successful completion of required training, as well as passing a background check are mandatory.Able to lawfully work in the USA.Physical Demands / Requirements
Be able to lift, push, or carry 50 to 60 pounds without restriction.Be able to work outdoors in freezing and wet weather conditions. Must have proper attire.Work Environment
Outdoor work environment during the winter snow season.Shifts are on-call and range from 6 to 12 hours and are often overnight depending on the storm event. May require longer hours for larger storms.The season starts on the first snowfall.
