Project Manager 1 Capital Projects & Construction
Develop project management skills to assume project responsibility. Accountable for success of a project with direction from the PM. Basic understanding of a portion of the company's business. Can explain complex information to others in straightforward situations. The Project Manager's responsibilities supporting FDVR are two-fold : primarily this role maintains interface with customer stakeholders on the progress of Development tasks that can range from small improvement projects to new fuel system development, secondarily when these projects require equipment installation within the facility, this manager will be the lead contact and coordinator of resources to execute the installation. The customer interface aspect requires the coordination of schedules for multiple development projects with assistance from the PMO for schedule generation and communication of project spend and overall contract performance. To accomplish the project installation portion, the Project Manager will :
- Propose, plan, and execute projects, including preparing schedules, budgets, and technical proposals to ensure performance and project objectives are achieved;
- Interface with customers and management to ensure that the customer's needs and objectives are met while maximizing benefits to NFS;
- Provide management leadership and technical direction to project teams including subcontractors;
- Solicitate appropriate resources from functional groups such as Health and Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Laboratory, Environmental Services, and Engineering to ensure project goals are achieved. Communicate and coordinate with support groups;
- Prepare reports and make presentations to management, clients and regulators;
- Provide technical support and / or direct liaison support for regulatory agency interface, if required, on clients' behalf, including making presentations to regulatory agencies and providing technical information in response to routine inspections and special investigations.

Your Day to Day as Project Manager 1 :
A team member on any project irrespective of contract value. Can lead projects with value up to $1M.May act Deputy PM and be able to take over for PM at certain stage of the project.Builds rapport and gains respect from people with varied experience and background.May supervise several project personnel to achieve project objectives.Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.Lead responsibilities and "point of contact" for large projects involving multiple technical disciplines or multi-functional interfaces.Provide interface with NFS Management, customers, off-site customers, and regulatory agencies.Review and recommend materials and equipment specifications for designing and installing processing and utility equipment.Provide technical supervision of NFS and contract engineers and designers assigned to projects.Provide engineering studies, analyses, designs, cost estimates, and schedules, as required.Guides, directs, and consults with and oversees A / E firms and construction contractors as required to fulfill assigned projects.Reviews plant operations and recommends changes that will improve cost effectiveness and / or improve worker safety.The position's duties include design reviews and approval of change packages; enforcement of codes, standards, conventions; and special projects as determined by Engineering management. Specifies design standards in accordance with NEC, ISA, NFS and other standards as appropriate.Required Qualifications :
B. S. Engineering or Technical discipline or if non-technical degree, then 12 years' experience with 2 years' experience in at least two of the following : Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Project Controls, Legal, Procurement & 6 years related project experience.Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle. Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills.Requires recent experience as a project engineer with experience as a nuclear project engineering manager preferred.Experience in technical industrial environments is required with experience in a nuclear environment preferred.What We Offer :
