Responsibilities
- Prepare plans and specifications for pumps, pressure piping, and sanitary sewer lines.
- Prepare regulatory permit applications in flood hazard area, storm water and sediment erosion and sediment control.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic calculations analysis to investigate drainage issues and support stormwater infrastructure related projects.
- Prepare calculations, engineering design plans, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Understanding of roadway and highway geometric design and alignment
- Assist in the construction administration of projects to include field visits.
- Provide engineering assistance for the design of best management practices (BMPs) and other stormwater infrastructure related projects. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or agricultural engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in Land Development, civil / municipal engineering, stormwater management including Low Impact Development, and experience with public sector and municipal projects.
- P.E License is preferred, but not required. P.E. track will be provided.
- High level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience in site development, grading plans, and utility plans
- Solid understanding of design processes and operations modeling
- Knowledgeable in erosion and sediment control criteria, stormwater management regulations and permitting processes.
- Preferred familiarity with surface water hydrologic and hydraulic analyses software including HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, OTTHYMO, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Pond Pack, WMS and / or HydroCAD
- Preferred familiarity with MECP, Conservation Authorities, lower tier and upper tier municipalities approvals processes.
