Job Summary

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, directly interacting with patients for routine or health-critical bloodwork. The PSR I collects high-quality blood specimens, prepares them for lab testing, and ensures a safe, accurate, and professional environment while adhering to established procedures and confidentiality protocols .

Key Responsibilities

Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection with accuracy and confidence.

Maintain safe, professional, and compliant workspaces.

Follow process excellence standards in documentation and labeling.

Build patient trust through clear communication and skilled sample collection.

Maintain daily records and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Deliver high-quality service with minimal supervision.

Required Experience

Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy or clinical sample collection experience.

Keyboard and data entry experience is a must.

Nice-to-Have Experience

1+ years’ experience in phlebotomy.

Prior customer service in retail, healthcare, or similar environment.

Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed

Preferred Skills

Medical assistant or paramedic training

Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, and WA — not required in NM)

Additional Skills

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication

Commitment to patient privacy, safety, and comfort
