Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Company:

Our client is a large net lease REIT specializing in the acquisition of single-tenant properties and over $20 billion in AUM. The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for safeguarding computer networks and systems against cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security controls for networks, servers, storage, cloud, and virtualization platforms to protect against cybersecurity threats and exposed vectors
• Configure and maintain security settings within the Azure\Microsoft 365 tenant to align with firms’ requirements
• Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection, and VPNs
• Support, manage, and implement third-party email security tools
• Execute and improve core functions of incident response including threat detection/prevention, incident response, security monitoring, digital forensics, and vulnerability management
• Support patch and vulnerability management program efforts
• Perform annual pen test and remediation efforts
• Research latest security threats, cybersecurity standards/frameworks, and vulnerabilities to assess the organizations threat landscape
• Assist in efforts to maintain compliance with SOX, NIST CSF, and other external/internal compliance requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity or a related field
• 5-7 years of relevant cybersecurity operations, information systems customer support and/or engineering experience required
• Scripting and automation experience
• Full working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and administration
• Strong understanding of PowerShell Modules
• Strong knowledge of managing security infrastructure
• Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure

Salary Range:

$140,000-$160,000
