Overview
Senior Director of Public Relations & Partnerships at Banana Republic is responsible for driving growth of Banana Republic's footprint in culture and ensuring a consistent and cohesive voice and experience across external PR, partnerships, and event initiatives. This role reports to the Head of Marketing and orchestrates activations aligned to Banana Republic's goals and broader marketing objectives. You will build relationships with major brand and talent partners and key media outlets, collaborating with the Marketing leadership team to align messages across paid, owned, and earned media.
What You'll Do
- Architect a cohesive strategy across PR, partnerships, and events aligned to Banana Republic goals and objectives
- Oversee a comprehensive calendar for the PR & Partnerships team to orchestrate activations
- Partner with Brand Marketing leadership to align paid, owned, and earned media activations
- Develop the strategic vision for Banana Republic's PR to increase brand relevance, awareness and engagement across traditional and digital media
- Own the relationship with PR agencies and key media outlets, continually seeking opportunities for brand exposure
- Serve as the external communications lead for Banana Republic, ensuring consistent messaging in support of the brand's reputation and interests
- Guide holistic partnership strategy to drive relevance and align with brand positioning and marketing goals
- Cultivate and develop relationships with brands, celebrities, influencers, organizations, and other stakeholders for new partnerships
- Identify and surface innovative partnership opportunities including co-branded collections, limited-edition collaborations, and exclusive deals to drive revenue growth
- Lead Banana Republic event activations, ensuring cohesive events aligned to key product launches and marketing campaigns
- Negotiate and oversee contracts for partnerships and sponsorships
Who You Are
12+ years of marketing experience with 7+ years in Public Relations and Partnerships5+ years of experience managing teams with a track record of collaborative leadershipExperience identifying and executing innovative collaborations with brands, talent, and organizationsExperience owning relationships with media outlets and securing press coverageExperience partnering with Marketing leadership to influence outcomes in a matrixed environmentExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teamsChange agent with the ability to build teams and foster positive culture changeEntrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work through ambiguity and infuse strategic thinkingBenefits
