Job descriptionDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and Pneumatic issues in injection molding tools and related systems. Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and maintain detailed maintenance logs and records. Collaborate with production teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes. Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures in accordance with company policies and industry standards. Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other team members regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency. Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels. Stay updated on the latest developments in injection molding technology and maintenance techniques. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime. Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers when specialized expertise or support is required. Perform mold preventive maintenance fill out all check list required by Aptiv systems to ensure the quality of tool. Assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements : Reduced Scrap, Increase OE, Reduced Cycle Time. know how to use measurement equipment such as micrometers, high gage, dial indicator, profile projector, calipers , gage blocks, etc. Perform convectional machining such as surface grinding, lathe, milling and drilling. Extensive knowledge of injection molding tools, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques. Strong proficiency in Tool maintenance, Pneumatic systems, including maintenance, repair, and optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Ability to stone and hone a sharp radius on tool steel. Must be able to communicate at all levels from shop floor operator to engineer. Lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 pounds. Sit and / or stand at least 12 hours Vision correctable to 20 / 30 or better Differentiate color Reach Bend Kneel Twist Grip Pinch Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle metal parts with precision and accuracy High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an injection molding environment. Person should have background in mathematics, mechanical drawing, metallurgy and machine shop practices.
Job Description
We are currently looking a skilled and experienced Tool Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in injection molding systems to join our dynamic team. You'll work alongside other Tool and Die Makers and engineers to support our tool and die needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our advanced injection molding equipment and related systems and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency of mold and dies.
