About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled Senior Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an urgent care and emergency setting. The role involves managing patients, performing procedures, supporting clinical operations, and mentoring junior PAs.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews.Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs).Perform therapeutic procedures : suturing, injections, immunizations, wound care, and infection management.Assist in surgeries or specialty procedures as needed; may serve as First Assist.Facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers; provide peri-operative and patient education.Develop patient management plans, document care, and ensure continuity of care.Mentor and support less experienced Physician Assistants.Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of PA experience in the last 5 years.Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program.Active California PA license, NPI, and National Certification.Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Fluoroscopy permit preferred or must be obtained within 18 months if applicable.Preferred :
Advanced certification in a specialty area.Experience in Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, or Radiation Oncology is a plus.Other Requirements :
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.Strong collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
