Position : Salesforce Application Engineer

Location : Bay Area, CA

Duration : Long Term

Job Details :

We have received a request from client to hire a Senior Salesforce engineer (8+ years) onshore who can design, develop, customize, and integrate complex Salesforce solutions—especially around CPQ, Order Management, Billing, and Vlocity / OmniStudio.

Job Description

Analyze business requirements and translate them into customized Salesforce solutions.
Implement solutions adhering to platform best practices and perform peer code reviews.
Configuration and development experience in Salesforce.
Experience with Vlocity and OmniScript development.
Extensive experience with Apex development.
Development experience with Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Process Builder.
Experience with databases, SOQL, and SQL.
Write clean, high‑quality, maintainable code and tackle software complexity.
Full development life‑cycle experience from design to deployment.
Development of OmniScript orchestrations, plans, and item definitions.
Web application development experience.
Java development experience and familiarity with RPCs and RESTful APIs for system integration.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable solutions for CPQ, Order Management, and Billing.

Produce well‑designed, testable, efficient code of high quality.

Work independently with Sales / Channels functional teams on business prioritization, project implementation, and post‑go‑live activities.

Coordinate with architects, leads, developers, and team members to gather requirements, develop solution design, optimize, and manage UATs and post‑go‑live activities.

Evaluate existing code and develop plans to reduce technical debt and establish a technology roadmap with system architects.

Leverage expert knowledge of CPQ to implement new business functions within Salesforce.

Maintain and optimize full‑lifecycle software development using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, APIs, and Force.com applications.

Improve development practices and standards.

Review and debug existing source code and resolve support requests for existing environments.

Host presentations and trainings to professional peers.

Stay updated on new technologies and software products.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

8+ years in Salesforce development with a strong understanding of the Salesforce Security model.

Hands‑on experience in Salesforce configuration / customization using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Batch classes, Lightning web components (LWC), and CPQ.

7+ years of designing and developing enterprise‑level applications in similar long‑term roles.

Experience in the SaaS technology environment, including sales and experience cloud.

Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Web services experience (REST, SOAP).

Understanding of object‑oriented concepts.

Familiarity with integration applications such as Apigee.

Working knowledge of Web and JavaScript frameworks.

Self‑motivated, able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks under minimal supervision.

Salesforce Certified Developer (PD2, System Architect, Integration Architect, etc.)
