Head of Portfolio Management (KIFO USA LLC, New York, New York) : Overseeing endowment portfolios. This will include working closely with family members to shape the investment strategies of their wealth preservation vehicles considering different risk appetites for each trust, advising on the appropriate asset allocation and investment strategy for each trust, and considering proposals by the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer and private banks; Assessing relationships with investment advisors and managers, including assessment of advisor / manager performance and associated fees; Ensuring that the appropriate governance steps are taken in the entities that hold the investment portfolios to consider and approve asset allocations, investments, redemptions / sales and periodic reviews of the performance of the portfolios; Owning the implementation and use of Addepar, a wealth management platform that specializes in data aggregation, analytics, and reporting for complex investment portfolios, to ensure effective performance reporting on endowment portfolios; Evaluating direct investment opportunities and developing recommendations based on an evaluation of the direct investment, including a risk assessment; and Collaborating with and mentoring designated investment analyst that will assist with all aspects of reporting and portfolio management. In order to complete the abovementioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required : Experience working in the family office / wealth management industry or the institutional space; Experience constructing and overseeing endowment portfolios, including setting investment strategy and policy, asset allocation, due diligence, multi-asset class manager / strategy selection, portfolio construction, ongoing portfolio monitoring and management; Experience evaluating direct investment opportunities, including performing in-depth financial analysis, fundamental research, and valuation of investments; Experience with opportunistic and tax efficient strategies, public and private asset classes and in-depth knowledge of alternative investments, including real estate, private credit, private equity and venture capital; Experience with anticipating issues, such as changing economic conditions and market trends, and recommending actions / solutions on a proactive basis; Experience successfully preserving and protecting capital during volatile and down markets; Experience managing a team of analysts, processes and projects; and Experience with Microsoft Excel and Addepar; including performing discounted cash flows and sensitivity analysis in Excel. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business or a closely-related field, and at least five years of experience as an Investment Professional or related occupation. Salary : $196,811 to $870,000 / year. Option to work from home on Fridays. Travel required – 10% to various locations across the U.S., where family members are based, including Los Angeles.
