Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in a homeless shelter environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized case plans.
  • Provide ongoing support and advocacy for clients, connecting them with appropriate resources and services.
  • Coordinate with other service providers, including healthcare, housing, and employment resources, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
  • Facilitate group sessions and workshops aimed at skill-building and empowerment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a social service or non-profit environment, preferably with homeless populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to social justice and advocacy.
