Position Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Care Coordinator (APCC) to join our team at Optum. The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Key Responsibilities :
Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
Check patients in and out of appointments.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
Collect copayments and maintain accurate records.
Schedule and manage patient appointments.
Ensure compliance with all front desk policies and procedures.
Collect and update patient demographic information.
Qualifications :
Prior experience working with EMR systems is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
