Overview
We are looking for a deadline-driven construction project manager to oversee our construction projects and to act as the link between various project parties. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you'll collaborate with multiple people, such as construction workers, architects, engineers, and clients. The construction project manager will lead and manage the on-site subcontractors and oversee all work on-site. The construction project manager will be responsible for orderliness on-site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will ensure quality standards are met and all equipment and materials are always available on-site. You will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals. Ability to use construction management software and computer proficiency is required.
To ensure success, you should complete projects on time and within budget and never compromise on quality. Top candidates will be strong, proactive leaders and perform well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
- Scheduling inspections and liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these.
- Approve subcontractor and material invoices.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met and updating as necessary.
- Updating project schedules as necessary in BuilderTrend.
- Entering daily logs per company standards to BuilderTrend.
- Taking periodic / phase pictures of the project as required and uploading to BuilderTrend.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Maintaining records for site personnel, such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
- Communicating with customers on project progress and schedule.
- Conducting customer meetings to review project details.
- Reviewing client invoicing with controller before submitting to the client.
Qualifications
3+ years experience as a construction superintendent.Proficient with scheduling software and Microsoft platforms.Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.Ability to lift 40 pounds.Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Trustworthy; works well under pressure; works well with others; must be able to problem-solve.Job Details
