What you will do
- As a Tier 1 Audio Visual Field Technician, you will support project delivery teams by installing and maintaining a wide variety of AV technologies across client sites.
- You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality installations, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES UP TO 70% TRAVEL.
- Provide daily reporting of site progress to site lead technician or project manager, along with photographs.
- Maintain an organized work environment with attention to cleanliness and organization of the jobsite.
- Ensure timesheets are accurately recorded daily and submitted via Paychex.
- Be adaptable to travel globally as EOS is a global company; overtime and last-minute schedule changes may be required.
Responsibilities
Develop knowledge of how to read and interpret architectural site drawings and audio-visual system diagrams.Coordinate tasks and activities onsite and communicate with the client and allied trades (Construction, Architect, Design, IT & Furniture).Conduct accurate site surveys including progress of construction activities and required consumables for installation completion.Understand cable types and corresponding connectors; develop skills for termination methods (Soldering, Crimp, Compression).Test terminated cables to ensure quality connections and proper terminations.Develop awareness of tools required to terminate cables and manage tool inventories.Utilize a cable pull schedule and physically pull cables in a construction environment, including hanging, wrapping, socking, and supporting cables.Physically install mounting hardware for displays, projectors, speakers, and floor mounts / stands in accordance with manufacturer and construction guidelines.Prepare hardware for rack-building, including asset data recording; develop skills for basic rack-building with cable management and labeling.Maintain an organized, safe work environment and manage installation materials inventories on site.Provide daily site progress reports to the site lead technician or project manager, with photographs.Essential Criteria
Experience in the AV / VC industry is preferable but not required.Engineering mindset with ability to solve engineering problems; strong customer service commitment.Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and manage multiple priorities with independent thinking and self-motivation.Strong sense of urgency, agility, and willingness to travel globally when required.Reliable, able to work alone or as part of a team; good organization and time management.Good written and verbal communication skills; flexible to changes in hours to meet customer needs.Desirable Criteria
Experience in the AV / VC industry; experience using hand tools.Enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to delivering quality.Salary
Pay Range : $22—$28 USD
