  • Orientation is bi-weekly with upcoming start dates on 11 / 10, 11 / 24, and 12 / 8.
  • Duke Lifepoint Hospital has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited.
  • Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more.
  • Located in Wilson, NC, 45 miles east of Raleigh, 2 hours from the coast of NC, and 1 hour from major universities such as Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University.
  • 15 minute drive to Lake Wilson from the facility.
  • Meditech experience preferred.

    • Job Requirements

  • Required certifications : BLS and ACLS.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience.
  • Must have skills / experience : EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills is a plus.
  • Preferred skillset / experience : Manage discharges and admissions, basic cardiac drip knowledge.
  • Required education : Associate degree; BSN preferred.

    • Schedule Information

  • Shift options : 7 AM or 7 PM.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours : 36 hours.
  • Weekend hours : 12 hours every other or every third weekend.
  • No call requirements.
  • Float requirements : Yes.

  • Unit : Telemetry.
  • Facility department / cost center : 605.
  • Number of openings : 6.
  • Shift : 7 AM or 7 PM.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours : 36 hours.
  • Weekend hours : 12 hours every other or every third weekend.
  • No call requirements.
  • Float requirements : Yes.
  • Patient ratios : 5 : 1 or 6 : 1.
  • Equipment includes Welch Allyn V / S machine, Hoyer Lift with weight scale, Abbott Glucometer, Computers on Wheels, TR band, Baxter IV pumps.
  • EHR : Meditech EMR.
  • Supervisor : Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse.
  • Patient population : adult and geriatric.
  • Common diagnoses / treatments : CHF, chest pain, acute renal failure, COPD, uncontrolled diabetics, chronic kidney disease, post cardiac catheterization care.

  • Unit profile : Telemetry department, 22 beds.
  • Patient ratios : 5 : 1 or 6 : 1.
  • Equipment includes Welch Allyn V / S machine, Hoyer Lift with weight scale, Abbott Glucometer, Computers on Wheels, TR band, Baxter IV pumps.
  • EHR system : Meditech EMR.
  • Supervisor : Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse.
