Texas Nursing Job Details Location : San Antonio, TX 78212 Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU), 4th Floor Inpatient Tower Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 09 / 23 / 2025 – End : 12 / 23 / 2025) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (19 : 00–07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per schedule Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1470-$1570 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Texas RN license (Registered Nurse) ACLS certification required Telemetry competency Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Telemetry, or acute care nursing experience Ability to work collaboratively with LVNs, nursing students, and healthcare teams Cardiac care experience preferred (CABG, Heart Cath with PCI, pacemakers, CHF, chest pain, valve procedures) Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and flexibility PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in a 35-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac drips and BIPAP support Document patient care using Meditech EMR Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, techs, and unit clerks in a multidisciplinary healthcare team Maintain safe patient ratios (1 : 4 or 1 : 5) Float to PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units as needed Participate in cardiac procedures : CABG, Heart Cath with PCI, watchman, pacemakers, CHF, chest pain, valve procedures Follow unit guidelines and hospital policies Discover exciting Texas nursing jobs and make a difference in San Antonio healthcare.
