Security Officer - Unarmed Commercial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Commercial Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for tenants, guests, and property staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $20.70 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday to Friday : 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting tenants, visitors, and property management as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, guests, and team members to support a secure environment at the location.
  • Observe and report any maintenance or security-related hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with access control measures, verifying credentials and monitoring ingress and egress at designated points.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
