Job Details : \n

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (first-time travelers accepted)

    • \n

  • Care for patients from neonates to geriatrics

    • \n

  • Patient ratio of 1 : 4 across all shifts

    • \n

  • Work in 59-room emergency department with average 250 visits per day

    • \n

  • Level 3 trauma center (in process), primary stroke center, CHF, STEMI, and chest pain center

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH

    • \n

  • Use Epic and Pyxis systems, follow SBAR communication protocols

    • \n

  • Navy blue scrubs required

    • \n

  • Work every other weekend

    • \n

  • Floating to other units required

    • \n

  • No call requirements

    • \n

  • Holiday work required based on assignment period (1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment, 2 out of 3 if three holidays occur)

    • \n

  • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed

    • \n

  • 12 hours of orientation required

    • \n

  • Skills include continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation administration / monitoring, triage, and ventilated patient care

    • \n

  • Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

    • \n

  • Special equipment includes arctic sun and glucommander

    This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department designed to handle a wide range of medical emergencies and trauma cases. The facility is working toward Level 3 trauma designation and maintains specialized certifications as a primary stroke center, CHF center, STEMI center, and chest pain center. The emergency department features 59 rooms and manages approximately 250 patient visits daily, supported by advanced medical equipment and a full range of interdisciplinary services to provide comprehensive emergency care.
