This service provides necessary support for the person to remain in His/her own home and/or participate in work or community activities.
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional - Attendant Care to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of elderly or disabled individuals.
Responsibilities:
Attendant Care/Housekeeping Agreement: responsible for being prompt and reliable. If you want to take time off, must give at least two weeks' notice to make other arrangements for a person's care. Responsible for asking any questions to ensure consumer's care is appropriate. While you are performing personal care, notify the consumer of any scrapes, bruises or skin problems. Help consumers pay bills; drive to and from activities and doctor's appointments, assist with lift on wheelchair vans, and any other personal care equipment.
Give verbal reminders and or prompting as directed per ISP. Actively participate in continuing skill development activities. Attend other training per ISP or provider request.
Role Summary:
The employee is responsible for assisting the consumer in maintaining a safe and clean home, stay healthy, clean and have good meals. This support may occur in the person's home or in the community, based on the person's specific needs, as identified through the Individual Support Plan process.
