What will an F&I Manager do?

  • Sell financing and automotive protection products to customers.
  • Responsible for the attainment and gross production of financial services'

goals and objectives.

  • Review customer credit applications.
  • Present extended service contracts and other owner protection programs
  • available to customers.

  • Assess profitability to dealership of financing arrangements
  • Utilize the menu selling process.
  • Ensure necessary documentation for each deal is complete by utilizing a
  • deal checklist.

  • Work closely with sales team, maintains effective employee relations
  • Acts as liaison between the customer and the lending institution.
  • Ensures adherence to F&I reporting requirements set by both state and federal
  • requirements.

  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participate in required training
  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures
  • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations
  • in the performance of duties.

  • Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.     Field of Study / Work Experience : Degree or commensurate automotive finance experience required.

    Knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures preferred. Prior automotive sales experience desired.

    Knowledge of bank and insurance terminology and procedures.

    Knowledge of regulations and laws governing financing in the automotive industry.

    Ability to review and process sales contracts and finance documents.

    Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, accurately and efficiently.

    Must have demonstrated track record of success.

    Desired Related Work Experience : 3+ years

    Desired Education : Bachelor Degree or relevant experience

    Computer Skills : Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google business suite products. Advanced ability to operate Finance and Insurance portion of Dealer Management System.

    Communication Skills : Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Strong interpersonal and persuasive selling skills.

    Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

    Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.

    Environment Demands : Duties are performed primarily in finance and insurance and sales areas. Considerable time spent on the phone and at a computer. Work involves frequent customer contact and interaction with lending institutions.

    Must posses a valid driver's license and Colorado Automotive Sales License.

  • Upon acceptance of an offer, ClearShift does complete background and motor vehicle record checks on all new hires. All accepted offers are contingent on successful completion of the checks and prior offenses can impact employment based on the severity and / or nature of the offense. If an offense found on the reports is in violation of the ClearShift policies, the new hire will receive an adverse action letter with options for next steps.
