Job Description Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Care setting! Under the guidance of the practice physician or advanced practice provider (APP), and with support from the Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be instrumental in assessing, planning, and evaluating individualized care plans, contributing significantly to our multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Accurately obtain and record vital signs, promptly reporting any abnormal findings to the treating provider.
• Gather and document comprehensive patient histories (medical, surgical, and social) alongside focused physical assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician or APP direction.
• Assist in in-office procedures pertinent to clinic specialty, documenting outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Review and triage incoming test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals, ensuring efficient follow-ups as needed.
• Collaborate to utilize resources effectively, aiming to meet patient outcomes and contribute to quality metrics.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPN) and medical assistants (MA).
• Orient and educate newly-hired staff.
• Engage in ongoing education related to clinic specialty to stay current with best practices.
• Provide health education to patients regarding their visits and overall wellness.
