Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adult women, prenatal through post-menopausal Average Daily Volume / Census : Varies based on clinic and hospital schedule Admissions & Rounding : Included Consults & Follow-Ups : Yes Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas : Full-spectrum Obstetrics and Gynecology, including deliveries, gynecologic surgery, and preventative women's health services Beds in Department / Unit : Integrated within a full-service hospital environment EMR System : Epic Specialty Backup : 24 / 7 Anesthesia, NICU, and Surgical Support Support Staff : Nurse practitioners in both inpatient and outpatient settings; clinical and administrative support available Leadership & Reporting Structure : Reports to the Medical Director, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Reason for Opening : Growth and service expansion within the Community Healthcare System Board Requirements : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology DEA & Certifications : Active DEA; BLS and ACLS required Credentialing Timeline : 90-120 days Base Salary : Highly competitive; negotiable within MGMA guidelines Incentive Bonus Structure : RVU-based production bonuses; potential contract bonuses Relocation Assistance : Available and negotiable CME Allowance : Robust annual CME funds provided PTO & Holidays : Flexible paid time off structure Health & Retirement Benefits : Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Life and Disability coverage Malpractice insurance (system-supported) Board Status : BC / BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology State License Required : Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain Certifications : DEA, BLS, ACLS Experience : Robotic surgery experience required; prior inpatient and outpatient practice preferred Additional Requirements : Commitment to quality patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including deliveries and surgical procedures Participate in inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic operations Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination Collaborate with nurse practitioners and other physicians across the system Engage in quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives Contribute to the continued growth and development of the OB / GYN service line About the Area : Hobart, Indiana is located approximately 45 minutes southeast of downtown Chicago, offering suburban comfort with close proximity to a major metropolitan center.
