Knowledge Road is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and offer vital support to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. As an SLP with Knowledge Road, you will have the autonomy to deliver individualized therapy using evidence-based practices, working closely with school teams and families to promote student communication development.
Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Knowledge Road, you will :
Provide direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, as mandated by their Individualized Education Service Programs / Individualized Education Programs (IESP / IEP).
Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Create and implement innovative and effective treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other school professionals to establish a holistic and supportive learning environment.
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with DOE and Knowledge Road standards.
Participate actively in IESP / IEP meetings, offering expert insights and recommendations to advance student progress.
Qualifications :
Current valid NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a school-based setting.
Proficiency with electronic documentation and teletherapy platforms.
NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to obtain prior to start.
Schedule & Location
This is a part-time, school-day or after-school position in Manhattan with a schedule that follows the NYC DOE calendar. You will offer services on-site at one or more schools in Manhattan, with assignments based on student needs. Hours / week are driven by IESP / IEP mandates; caseload may vary by assignment Typically ~5-15 hours / week depending on placements.
Compensation :
This 1099 contractor role offers a tiered hourly rate depending on group size, from $75-$180 / hr .
