The Clinical Assistant will promote and restore patients’ health by assisting in the nursing process and supporting physicians and other multidisciplinary team members with hands-on patient care. You will help to create a positive experience for our patients and ensure that patients receive high-quality service by assisting clinical team with patient care.
Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm with occasional Saturdays as needed.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities :
- Assist Physicians with clinical procedures
- Follow proper protocols for all procedures
- Practice phlebotomy
- Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds.
- Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
- Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
- Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.
- Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, results. Enter results and email to provider team for review.
- Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance / comfort before, during and after procedures.
Academic Training :
Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred but not requiredPhlebotomy Program – preferred but not requiredPosition Requirements / Experience :
6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practicePrior experience in women’s healthcare – preferredMust be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional eveningsTechnical Skills :
