Job Summary : The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves managing a team of accountants, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to accounting staff.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.Benefits :
